Sources close to the “Someone Like You” artist say she took this decision after getting labeled a diva in recent weeks after a slew of negative headlines.

The person continued: “Adele loves the Brits. It’s where she feels at home. She used to be interviewed by The Face magazine, who really appreciated her work, then she ended up being interviewed by someone in Australia who hadn’t even listened to her album.”

The opening night was planned for Friday, January 21, at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, and all the tickets had sold out in the weeks prior. Some were being sold on the illicit market for staggering prices of up to $30,000.
However, on a Thursday night, with just 24 hours to go until the first show, Adele posted on Instagram to tell fans that she would no longer be going ahead as planned due to the impacts of COVID-19.
Half her team was ill with COVID, a tearful Adele told fans on social media, and delivery delays and other logistical challenges had meant they ran out of time and had no other option but to cancel.

The “Chasing Pavements” singer was due to perform 24 dates at Caesar’s Palace, from January 21 until April.
