Drake has done the unthinkable — he has reignited his feud with arch-nemesis Kanye West as the Yeezy business mogul deals with his divorce from estranged wife Kim Kardashian.
The Canadian artist released a new song on Friday called “Wants and Needs,” where he namechecks West without directly mentioning the reality TV icon.
Drake appears to take a shot at Kanye West in new song
However, fans are convinced that he is alluding to an affair with the mother of four, and this is not the first time something like this has happened.
Here is the part of the song that has fans talking and debating: “Yeah, I probably should go link with Yeezy, I need me some Jesus / But soon as I started confessin’ my sins, he wouldn’t believe us.”
While it is not clear what Drake is addressing on the Lil Baby-assisted track, but the mere mention of his rival is enough to have heads spinning.
“Wants and Needs” is featured on the Scary Hours 2 EP with two other songs — “What’s Next” and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” featuring Rick Ross.
Some fans doubt Drake’s “Wants and Needs” is a Kanye West diss
A few hip-hop supporters are adamant that the new track is not really a diss because Drake is not clear about his intentions.
This person wrote: “Yeah wasn’t a diss in the slightest IMO. I doubt Ye and Drake can be bothered to continue their weird beef after all this time – especially after Pusha whooped Drake’s ass a few years ago.”
Others believe that the reference could be about generating headlines to create buzz.

Is Drake using Kanye West and the Kim Kardashian affair allegations to hype his music?
Another possibility might be that Drake knows that the media and hip-hop fans would eat up any mention of West in his music, and he just wanted to have a little fun.
The theory is plausible, although Drake is pretty popular already, so it is not really obvious that he needs a PR stunt to get attention.
“At this point, Drake is starting shit trying to be relevant again. Eminem did the same thing with Snoop. It’ll be old news by next week,” claimed an Instagrammer.
Kanye West slammed Drake the last time the cheating allegations surfaced
In 2018, Drake ignited a furor with “In My Feelings,” a hit song where he repeats the line “Kiki, do you love me?” Some fans say that Kiki is Kardashian’s nickname, and her sisters do call her this way from time to time.
West reacted to the drama in an Instagram video where he said: “The fact that there’s people making rumors or thinking you f—ked my wife and you’re not saying nothing and you’re carrying it like that, that don’t sit well with my spirit.”
Some are wondering if West is going to answer back this time, especially after the Kardashian divorce news.
“First of all I want to address Nick Cannon, I understand that you used to date my wife but you get an interview, don’t mention my wife. If someone brings my wife up, you say ‘I respect that man, I’m not speaking on that.’”https://t.co/L6Z8f5iHNb pic.twitter.com/glWKes0CZT
