It seems that pop music superstar Ariana Grande, 25, is determined to stay by her comedian fiancé’s side no matter if she agrees with him or not.
The talented vocalist supported her partner, Pete Davidson, 24, when he received backlash over a tweet involving making a controversial joke about the terrorist attack that targeted a Grande’s concert in Manchester back in 2017.
Apparently, the comedian made the joke about the tragic concert while he was at a charity event in Puerto Rico. This happened long before the two stars event started dating.
One of the parents of the concert’s victims expressed her outrage about the joke by insisting that Davidson apologize for his words.
The grieving mother said that it was entirely inappropriate for someone to make fun of such a tragic situation, and the comedian should publicly state that he was sorry for what he had said.
As a result, Grande defended her fiancé by explaining that even though she did not find his joke funny at all and thought it was uncomfortable, what happened was months ago and he never meant to say anything malicious.
On Thursday, she also stated on social media that her partner was only trying to make people feel better in his own bizarre way.
Grande added, “We all deal w trauma differently. I, of course, didn’t find it funny. it was months ago & his intention wasn’t/ is never malicious but it was unfortunate.”
Davidson, who lost his father in the attacks on September 11, still talks about his parent on a regular basis, especially during stand-up routines.
Nevertheless, Grande’s social media account still receives many comments from fans, saying the comedian should apologize for his words. Many even voiced their wishes that the singer breaks up with the inconsiderate Davidson.
For the time being no comments were made by the comedian.
