It seems like Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman is not too fond of being associated with President Donald Trump‘s adviser, Jared Kushner, due to their shared history at Harvard.
On an episode of CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the host brought up the fact that Portman and Kushner had actually graduated in the same class, which provoked a humorous response from the Black Swan star.
And while Portman did claim that she has no negative memories of Kushner and remembers a friendly relationship between them, she still admitted that she feels uncomfortable over his recent actions working in the Trump administration and stated that it is hard to speak in a positive light about someone who ended up becoming a “supervillain.”
The 37-year-old Thor actress told Colbert, “Unfortunately it’s not very — there’s not a lot funny to say about someone you were friends with becoming a supervillain. So, it’s not funny.”
Portman added the humorous remark that she “proudly” felt like a dead skin cell, referring to a comment made by Kushner in the past.
Mr. Kushner previously stated that he does not regret any contacts that he has lost through his involvement in politics, and considers that to be an “exfoliating” experience.
It should be noted that the relationship between Benjamin Millepied‘s wife and Ivanka Trump‘s husband may not be that negative in its present state either, as the two have been attending events for each other in recent years.
However, it is not clear whether they are on speaking terms at the moment, and neither seems willing to comment on that situation in public.
Portman was a supporter of Hillary Clinton during her election campaign in 2016, which could have further strained her relationship with Kushner if it was still in a good state at this point.
Kushner’s brother, Joshua, is a proud Democrat and reportedly supported Clinton in the last presidential election.
