The tragic death of famed chef Anthony Bourdain was totally unexpected given the fact that he was madly in love with his partner, Asia Argento.
The TV icon started his romance with the Italian actress a year ago when the two met on the set of Parts Unknown, Bourdain’s travel and food show that aired on CNN.
Argento worked together with Bourdain on the show, and he would often ask her for professional advice during the preparation of its episodes. Besides starring in the series, Argento also helped her companion by directing an episode about Hong Kong.
An insider, allegedly close to the couple, revealed that Bourdain was entirely smitten with the 42-year-old Italian beauty.

Apparently, the celebrity chef was so passionate about his romantic interest, that some of his close friends were starting to feel concerned that he might be going too far with his feelings.
A friend of the actress recently revealed that they had an open relationship and despite his devotion for her, Bourdain never intended to marry Argento. The pal spoke out because some online commenters started blaming the mother of two for what happened.

However, none of Bourdain’s were aware that the famous TV host was battling with depression, not even Eric Ripert, the colleague of Bourdain who found his body in a luxurious French hotel room last week.
It was no secret that he had gone through some hardships, given that his marriage to Ottavia Busia was over and his schedule was so hectic, and it was expected that the star would often be overworked, but nobody even suspected that Bourdain was so unstable that he could take his own life.

For the time being, the remains of Bourdain are still in France, but they are to be transported to the United States as soon as possible when all formalities with the authorities are sorted out.
