Kanye West launched his new album, Ye, just days ago at a coveted private party in Wyoming, surrounded by his closest friends and family.
However, even though the main theme of the event was Kanye’s latest project, one topic in the conversations of the evening stood out from the rest — the ongoing feud between Drake and Pusha T.
Kanye even shared a post on Twitter on June 1st, saying that he was never a fan of quarrels and that he was all about love.
Although West did not mention any names in his post on Friday, nobody had any real doubts about who it was addressed to and what it was trying to accomplish.
The negative feelings between Drake and Pusha T date back to 2006, and the tension has been on the rise ever since.
Both rappers have so far used every possible opportunity to offend each other via their lyrics in a number of rap hits throughout the years, and it seems that Kanye somehow managed to get caught in the crossfire recently.
It is worth noting that Pusha T retweeted Kanye’s message, although neither he nor Drake has so far commented on the new development.
Moreover, the two hip-hop artists have not shown any interest in ending their current battle.
Some of their fans have pointed out that the nature of their “beef” could be purely commercial, with the two trying to generate controversy that brings them into the spotlight.
Other rappers exchanging insults publicly have also been the target of similar accusations, and for a good reason — it’ is not a rare occurrence in the music industry, as we have seen in the past.
Another theory, Kanye, who is very fond of creating drama lately, could be using his tweet to push new headlines and make himself look like the bigger man.
