Rudy Giuliani, who was mayor of New York City during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, is in trouble today for making a controversial and an inaccurate statement about President Barack Obama. The remark was made during a campaign event covering national security in Youngstown, Ohio.
Giuliani, an outspoken supporter of the Republican nominee for president Donald Trump, claims that before Obama’s victory in 2008 the country was never confronted with a foreign terrorist attack.
Experts argue that Giuliani, who unsuccessfully ran for president in 2008, is tarnishing his legacy with his strong backing of Trump, a man who is currently behind Hillary Clinton in the polls.
Those people say that the Trump campaign can not go one day without stepping on its own message with outrageous and erroneous comments.
Rudy Giuliani: Before Obama came along we didn't have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attack inside the United States."
