Joe Biden adds his playlist to Spotify, and it is pretty impressive. This week, the vice president like President Obama shared the list of songs that he (and maybe Jill Biden) will be listening, dancing, and bobbing to during their summer vacation.
Unlike Mr. Obama, Mr. Biden is not a big on of hip hop, but he is a real fan of oldie pop, and is into soft rock. Additionally, he is a mega fan of jazz and like the rest of the universe, he is in love with Adele‘s astonishing voice.
A few famous names that made it on Biden’s list include legends like Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, and Bruce Springsteen along with some fresh faces on the music scene such as Sam Smith. One of the songs that stood out from the list is Lady Gaga‘s “Til It Happens to You.”
Biden introduced the tear-jerking song about sexual assaults on college campuses at the 2016 Academy Awards. The Democratic politician, who toured several colleges with Gaga, had the following to say about the track:
“Take the pledge. A pledge that says, I will intervene in situations where consent has not or cannot be given.’ Let’s change the culture.”
The song was also featured in the documentary, The Hunting Ground. Another track that was hard to miss was Coldplay’s “Til Kingdom Come,” which was performed by Chris Martin at Biden’s son, Beau Biden‘s funeral in 2015. Here is Biden’s holiday playlist:
