Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea unite in a match made in booty heaven. The “Booty” remix was released on Tuesday and fans of big butts could not be any happier.
What’s hotter than a nice booty? Two nice booties put next to each other. This is the simple and alluring concept behind the cover art for Jennifer Lopez‘s new song “Booty” remix featuring Iggy Azalea.
J.Lo calls on Azalea to add a woman’s touch to her single “Booty,” which originally featured “Give Me Everything” rapper Pitbull.
Lopez more or less dumped her frequent collaborator in hopes of landing a big hit with the help of music’s current ‘It’ girl.
If a musical career needs a little lift, no one is better than Azalea at the moment to do the job. The “Fancy” rapper has three hit songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this month.
J.Lo will need all the help she can get to switch things up a bit when it comes to her eight studio album A.K.A. that was released in June.
The album failed to deliver a huge hit and first week sales got stuck at 47,000. After releasing the first version of “Booty” with Pitbull, J.Lo and her staff realized that they needed to do something more dramatic in order to get the buzz going.
They did just that by hiring the Australian rapper. Azalea jumped on the track because it gave her the opportunity to answer the booty challenge posed by her rival Nicki Minaj with the release of “Anaconda.”
Azalea and Minaj are fiercely battling it out on the charts for the title of reigning queen of hip hop music. Minaj made her famous booty a central pitch for her new hit song and yet Azalea says, on “Booty” remix that “The last time the world seen a booty this good, it was on Jenny from the block.”
Azalea is indirectly saying that Minaj might have the bigger booty but her own performs better. The line might be just another hip hop boasting move, but it was a very efficient one.
